Another Astra owner following back yard advice from an automotive forum has lead to another hydraulic pump failure this week costing over $7500 +Gst.
Bolting latches together on the early models can cause the hydraulic pump to fail Holden / General motors has changed the design in the late model this solving this issue. Although putting the wrong oil in the pump system will also causing a similar pump failure.
If you cannot ask for your money back when things go wrong it is a little bit silly to take there advice.
